Now that 2024 has come to an end, we wanted to take a moment to look back on all the great things our organization and our members did this past year as a part of the River North Design District (RNDD). Thank you to everyone who supported small businesses this year. Your support did not go unnoticed.

We Gained New Members
We ended the year with a total of 100 members and 22 of those were new members who joined in 2024. This year we welcomed: Lutron Electronics, The Mart, City Haus Chicago, Modernplum Home, Moore & Giles, Natuzzi Italia Chicago, CTP ECO Inc., Arete The Art of Design, Driehaus Museum, Kinzie Chophouse, The Workshop Design Studio, Zach Hayes Design, KP Home, Hoiland Studios Lighting Design, Tom Stringer Design Partners, Epic Interiors, KBS Interiors, California Closets and Luminaire.
We Held 8 Events and Raised Money for a Great Cause
We held eight events this year including one social media workshop, two “On the Road” events, one panel discussion on color with JC Licht, Liaison Technology Group and Luxe Interiors + Design, one presentation on the auction world with Heritage Auctions, and a few special events including a tour of EXPO Chicago and the Zero Landfill Chicago pick-up.
And to end the year strong, a who’s who in the Chicago design and art communities gathered for our 9th Annual River North Design District Fall Gallery Walk to view vignettes designed by Chicago’s top designers as they showcased living settings highlighting artwork created by some of the brightest stars in the art world today. It was our biggest and best turnout yet, with over 2,000 attendees, and we raised $9,800 for our philanthropic partners, the Ryan Licht Sang Bipolar Foundation and Humble Design.
We Released 4 Podcast Episodes
Design District, an interior design podcast, is the ultimate destination for all things design. On this podcast you will meet our designers, discover new products, and gain valuable industry insights. Whether you are a homeowner looking for ideas or an industry expert– we promise you will be entertained.
With the help of our podcast host and producer, Jonathan Pliego, we released four episodes of Design District this year, which you can listen to here.
