Since its founding in 1989 in the River North Design District in Chicago, The Golden Triangle has been a national source for Asian and European luxury furnishings. Their showroom has since relocated to West Town where it carries on this legacy.

Owners Douglas Van Tress and Chauwarin Tuntisak travel extensively, searching for pieces with a unique history and the highest quality. When the pieces arrive in Chicago, they are displayed in curated vignettes in their impressive showroom.
The collection is remarkably diverse; a global mix of antiques, ancient artifacts, furniture, lighting, contemporary art, and accessories. These are the things that make a home unique and provide continuing enjoyment.

A Pair of Art Deco Style Arm Chairs With Solid Hardwood Arms
These sleek Art Moderne (or Art Deco) club chairs are elegantly scaled for use in almost any living area. Found in their original state, (dating to the 50’s) the chairs have been completely restored, with re-tied 6-way springs, new foam stuffing, refinished Elm Wood arms and plush chenille upholstery.

A 19th Century Gothic Revival Cabinet
An Ecclesiastical Chest, possibly part of an altar set. This two-part chest feature unusually well-carved gothic motifs, chiseled in rift-cut oak. Though it is based on very old patterns, we think it is Gothic Revival piece dating to the mid-19th Century. The original finish has been stripped and bleached to reveal the natural beauty of the wood grain.

A Mid-Century Italian Pistillo Sconce By Studio Tetrarch
This iconic Pistillo sconce was designed by Studio Tetarch for Valenti in 1969. It was extremely modern for using chromed ABS plastic. It could also be used as a table lamp or chandelier. “Pistillo” refers to the pistil at the center of a flower, that blooms and extends light, due to the chromed plastic stamens surrounding it.

A Terra Cotta Bust of a Roman Emperor
This 20th Century bust of a Roman emperor is made from terra cotta and has the discoloration and patina that comes from outdoor use.
