Viva Magenta
Pantone’s Color of the Year, Viva Magenta 18-1750, vibrates with vim and vigor. It is a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength. Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative. Most importantly, it’s a “boundary-less” hue that anyone can use in their home design.
In this age of technology, we look to draw inspiration from nature and what is real. PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta descends from the red family, and is inspired by the red of cochineal, one of the most precious dyes belonging to the natural dye family as well as one of the strongest and brightest the world has known.
Rooted in the primordial, PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta reconnects us to original matter. Invoking the forces of nature, PANTONE 18-1750 Viva Magenta galvanizes our spirit, helping us to build our inner strength.

Try an Accent Wall…But Put it on the Ceiling
Viva Magenta is an intense color and delivers a powerfully emotional look and feel. Jasmin Reese Interiors used a very similar color for a guest bedroom ceiling. The rest of the walls were painted white which had a really dramatic effect bouncing off of the ceiling. It allows the ceiling to have its own wow factor without any interruptions within it. Jasmin and her team also incorporated a similar color in a dining room- however in this case- the color is a rich backdrop for layers and layers of art for a large dining room.

Make a Big Statement with Pink Stone
Cosmopolitan Quartzite is one of the few natural stones that holds such rich and vibrant color of red. It was no surprise to Terrazzo & Marble Supply Companies that the Pantone color of the year was Viva Magenta, as they saw their designers putting this to the test.
One way T&M Supply enjoys styling such a bold stone like Cosmopolitan is in a bar, powder room or lounge space. This punch of color allows you to bring an element of excitement and fun into atmosphere. Lead Designer Nicole Alexander at Siren Betty Designs incorporated the cosmopolitan quartzite into an eclectic bar scene that pushed Viva Magenta to the max.
