The 6th Annual River North Design District Fall Gallery Walk
On Friday, September 10th, 2021, a who’s who in the Chicago design and art communities gathered for our 6th Annual River North Design District Fall Gallery Walk to view vignettes designed by Chicago’s top designers as they showcased living settings highlighting artwork created by some of the brightest stars in the art world today.
It was our biggest and best turnout yet with 1,000 attendees! Thanks to everyone who came out to support us. And don’t forget the vignettes are on display until October 11th! You can refer to our program book online here for a list of participating locations and suggested routes so as not to miss a single one. Pop in your headphones as you walk from location to location and listen to our official RNDD Fall Gallery Walk Spotify playlist curated by Gil Melott of Studio 6F.

The night began at Calia Stone Boutique for our VIP Kickoff Party where Yamini Designs and Interiors by Francesca turned the showroom into a fantasy garden inspired by renowned fashion and textile designer Christian LaCroix featuring large-scale artwork by Linc Thelen. This year we were proud to partner with CAPE (Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education) on this event and ticket sales supported their organization.
You can support CAPE as well by purchasing a raffle ticket to win an original work of art by René Romero Schuler along with a book and special gifts. Get your raffle ticket here!

After the conclusion of the kickoff party, partygoers from all over the city took to the streets of River North visiting the 20 participating design showrooms and art galleries to feast on art, design, food and drinks courtesy of our event sponsors: Anheuser-Busch, Collective Arts Brewing and Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

Attendees were asked to post photos of their favorite vignette on Instagram throughout the night with our official hashtag #RNDDGalleryWalk. This year’s fan favorite was: Sarah Jacquelyn Interiors featuring Bobbi Meier, Mia Wiener, and Emily Shopp of salonlb. at eggersmann.
Sarah created a vignette, featuring Bobbi Meier’s series Family Portraits, which captures the emotional chaos of a family game night. This drawing room is a space to feel; intense colors, textures, and patterns meld together seamlessly to create an atmosphere of excitement and energy that is on the verge of spilling over into madness. View it now through October 11at at eggersmann, 300 W Hubbard St, 4th Floor.

The evening concluded at 210 Design House where PROjECT .interiors and MINDCURATE transformed the 4 story showroom into an after party with the goal of reuniting and reviving. Patrick Sansone’s photographic reflections paired with PROjECT. interiors sensory experience acknowledged the massive transformation + shift in our world. Each floor provided a different experience and a moment to pause and engage your senses: see, taste, hear, smell + FEEL. It was definitely a night to remember!
