Our Events Were a Big Success

We launched our first ever workshop series led by marketing and branding experts: Jessica Zwieg of The Simply Be. Agency, Jason Myers of Zen Owl Media, and Sandra Kumorowski, Marketing Strategist and Professor. Attendees left each workshop with valuable information and new tactics and strategies to implement in their own businesses.

On May 3rd, 2018, the River North Design District (RNDD), Chicago Luxury Beds, Luxe Interiors + Design, and Dering Hall partnered once again for “Dreaming of Design” featuring bedroom vignettes by 11 amazingly talented Chicago interior designers, including RNDD Members Inspired InteriorsMitchell Channon Design, and Vincere LTD.,

The Sculpture Objects Functional Art and Design (SOFA) Fair in Chicago is the premier gallery-presented art fair dedicated to three-dimensional art and design. SOFA is held annually in the fall at Chicago’s Navy Pier, and this year RNDD and our Members took part in a series of exciting and informative events and lectures. For the first time at SOFA, the fair featured designer vignettes centering around the theme Living with Art. Nicholas Moriarity of Nicholas Moriarty InteriorsMichael Stornello and Tom Konopiots from Vincere along with The Golden Triangle with Adam Siegel all designed booths as an extension of their design aesthetic meant to help collectors and homeowners visualize the art in their home and how to display their collections in creative ways.

We celebrated with the who’s who of the Chicago art and design community with a SOFA after-party at The Golden Triangle on November 2nd. The private event featured 20 works from acclaimed artist Adam Siegel where he debuted his new show Archetype: Excavation and Expectation.

And our biggest event of the year was the 4th Annual RNDD Fall Gallery Walk which took place on Friday, September 7th. This year the River North Design District (RNDD) partnered with The River North Arts District Galleries featuring artists paired with designers.  This year’s highlights included a full lineup of openings and events on Friday, September 7th from 5-9pm and special pop-ups including a Stosa Cucine kitchen with Dresner Design in collaboration with celebrity artist Tubs in collaboration with Mauricio Ramirez.
